Imperial Intelligence's objectives are to identify and analyse actual and potential threats to the New Imperial Order, to minimise those threats of an external nature, and to provide accurate and timely intelligence as required by the various branches of the NIO. To meet those objectives, II conducts operations throughout the galaxy which are aimed at meeting those objectives, and to provide a constant and varied stream of information. To meet these objectives, Imperial Intelligence is divided into Bureaus of specific disciplines and requiring certain skills within each Bureau. Directing these Bureaus is the command authority of II; The Ubiqtorate. Information on the Ubiqtorate is sketchy at best, as it is the command element of the most secretive organisation within the NIO; however it is known that the Ubiqtorate is at least composed of the Director of II, and the Chiefs of the two Bureaus to which II has released information to the public. The Bureau of Operations is the more physical component of II operations. Conducting operations in the areas of field intelligence, human intelligence, assassination, sabotage, abduction, political subterfuge and resource acquisition; the Bureau of Operations is a highly demanding and dangerous line of work. With extremely high entry requirements, Operations personnel are highly trained, motivated, capable and competent people that find themselves employed throughout the galaxy regularly. The Bureau of Analysis contains the bulk of II personnel. Handling phenomenal amounts of data continuously streaming in from Operations personnel, Analysis personnel, informants, the military and galactic information agencies; Analysis pieces the information gleaned from this data together, identifying trends, key events and potential events. Analysis then provides briefings to the other branches of the NIO on information pertinent to their roles and operations.
